SUMMARY:
I invite you to come with me on a journey-a journey through life. In your passage through life, you want to be fully in charge of the route, the events, and the destination. As we travel, you need a clear view of where you have come from, where we are today and where you will be going. I believe I have a sincere story to present to you, my life as a Jehovah’s Witness: “Used Abused and Forgotten.” In my story there are many events that have adversely affected me as I grew up. I speak of the wrongs I have suffered, and of those who inflicted them; the memories of painful experiences and harmful early influences and unpleasant past events. Together we will consider the importance of what happens when one’s life is decimated by control in the name of religion.

SUMMARY:
Reading Fallen, but Not Forgotten is like looking through a window into the life of Frances Munson as she reclaims the life God laid out for her, the life she tried so hard to throw awayby making bad choice after bad choice. She opens her life up to the reader, not as some autobiographical novel, but as a living example of what God can and will do in a broken life. It isnt a warm and fuzzy, feel-good read like often seen, but a raw and revealing look at her life, the good, the bad, and the otherwise. She honestly discusses her mistakes, bad choices, and the opportunities God gave her to make a change. You see how God in His loving role as a Father began by whispering and did not give up until He finally shook her world to pieces to get her attention. With nothing left, but the consequences of her actions, she sought Him, and is now using her life, and her past filled with mistakes and pain, to help others. She is dedicating her life to showing others what she has learned through it all, that no matter how far you fall, God Never forgets you, Never abandons you, Never gives up on you, and you Never fall below His Grace or Mercy!

SUMMARY:
In Thomas H. Cook’s first novel, a weary detective tracks a blood-crazed psychopath Blood seeps into the gutters at the children’s zoo in Central Park. Two deer have been slaughtered, one stabbed fifty-seven times and the other slashed across the neck. Normally it would be a case for the Parks Department, but these are no ordinary deer. The pride of the small menagerie, they were given to the zoo by a prominent socialite who cannot afford bloody headlines. The NYPD hands the case to Detective Reardon, star of the homicide squad. A recent widower at fifty-six, Reardon has seen too many human victims to care much about the two butchered animals. He resents being taken off other pressing cases for the sake of politics, but soon another killing snaps him to attention. Two women are found dead in their apartment, one stabbed fifty-seven times and the other with her throat cut. Surely this vicious parallel isn’t a coincidence.…

SUMMARY:
"This ghost story gave me chill after chill. It will haunt you." -- R.L. Stine, author of Goosebumps "Do you know what it feels like to be forgotten?"On a cold winter night, Iris and her best friend, Daniel, sneak into a clearing in the woods to play in the freshly fallen snow. There, Iris carefully makes a perfect snow angel -- only to find the crumbling gravestone of a young girl, Avery Moore, right beneath her.Immediately, strange things start to happen to Iris: She begins having vivid nightmares. She wakes up to find her bedroom window wide open, letting in the snow. She thinks she sees the shadow of a girl lurking in the woods. And she feels the pull of the abandoned grave, calling her back to the clearing...Obsessed with figuring out what's going on, Iris and Daniel start to research the area for a school project. They discover that Avery's grave is actually part of a neglected and forgotten Black cemetery, dating back to a time when White and Black people were kept separate in life -- and in death. As Iris and Daniel learn more about their town's past, they become determined to restore Avery's grave and finally have proper respect paid to Avery and the others buried there. But they have awakened a jealous and demanding ghost, one that's not satisfied with their plans for getting recognition. One that is searching for a best friend forever -- no matter what the cost. The Forgotten Girl is both a spooky original ghost story and a timely and important storyline about reclaiming an abandoned segregated cemetery."A harrowing yet empowering tale reminding us that the past is connected to the present, that every place and every person has a story, and that those stories deserve to be told." -- Renée Watson, New York Times bestselling author of Piecing Me Together
